My heart is broken…I find it so hard to understand why … However, I am very proud of my family at The Brothers Sun and what we have presented to the world. We hold our heads high.
Lead actor Justin Chien also thanked the fans on Instagram: “It’s going to take some time, this news [der Netflix-Absetzung] to digest […]but it fills me with joy that the series resonated with so many people has.”
In fact, The Brothers Sun drove straight to the start good reviews a (84% on Rotten Tomatoes): Decider praised the series as “Addictive action comedy” and CNN said Michelle Yeoh was doing the narration “to shine”. It was also well received by audiences (7.4 on Moviepilot, 7.6 on IMDb). But none of that helped. In the end, the series did not achieve the desired streaming numbers on Netflix.
