The current event in Pokémon GO runs until Monday. A great opportunity to secure a powerful monster for yourself.
What kind of event is going on right now? This is the Horizonte event. The focus here is on the Paldea starters, among other things, but some monsters also spawn.
The event has been running for a few days and ends on March 11th at 8:00 p.m. So you still have until Monday evening to take advantage of the event’s bonuses and spawns.
And you should grab one of the currently active monsters as often as possible: Tanhel.

Tanhel appears often in Pokémon GO at the moment, and every single catch is worth it
How do I get Tanhel? Tanhel is a Steel Psychic Pokémon and is listed as a possible rare spawn in the event announcement. However, when you play, you quickly realize that the monster isn’t that rare. Tanhel can appear again and again while the event is running.
And this gives you the chance to secure a real top Pokémon. Because otherwise you don’t get it so often, so easily.
Why should I keep catching the monster? Tanhel evolves into Metagross via Metang. And Metagross is simply one of the best Pokémon in the game. In raids it’s actually always a solid choice if the boss isn’t particularly resistant to steel, in PvP it at least has a place in the master league. And as a steel attacker, Metagross is generally the top choice, beaten only by its own Crypto variant.
Metagross offers high stats and can do a brutal amount of damage, especially with its special attack Star Slash. One drawback: You can only get this attack during certain events when developing, or by using a top-loading TM. Nevertheless, securing strong Tanhel now and then developing it at such a time is a good strategy.
Because you should keep this in mind: For a Metagross you need 25 candies to develop from Tanhel to Metang, and another 100 from Metang to Metagross. And if you want to level up, you should have as many candies available as possible – especially if you want to strengthen several copies.
So, in brief: Click on every tanhel you find, throw a sanana berry and grab it to get as many candies as possible. And if you’re lucky, you’ll find a really strong example with good values.

What else is going on? The new season “World Full of Wonders” has just begun in Pokémon GO. It started with the Horizonte event, but that’s not the only event coming up in the near future. In March there will be numerous spotlight hours, raid hours and various events where you can collect bonuses. A community day, various raid days and a crypto event are also already known.
