The police are looking for witnesses to a suspected kidnapping in Karlstad.
But the police do not know who it is that was taken away.
– We have very credible information that claims that a crime has taken place, that a person has been taken against their will, says police spokesperson Lars Hedelin.
The suspected crime must have taken place on Friday evening.
The police have received witness information that points to someone being abducted against their will in the Gruvlyckan area in Karlstad.
– We have worked all night and all day and have not reached where we hoped, says Lars Hedelin.
The police are now looking for more witnesses to the incident.
They are interested in sightings at Gruvlyckevägen and connecting parking areas between 10.00pm and 11.30pm on Friday evening.
A van or van of unknown make may be involved.
– That could be it. We don’t want to commit but there could be one or more vehicles involved in this.
Lars Hedelin wants people in the area to pay attention if they notice anything strange.
– Everything that someone may have seen or perceived can be a piece of the puzzle.
Anyone with information to give should call the police on 114 14.
