A 35-year-old man has been found dead in a home in Götene.
The police cannot rule out that a crime has been committed and therefore initiates a preliminary investigation into murder.
The man was pronounced dead in hospital and next of kin have been notified.
The residence has been cordoned off pending a technical examination and the police will continue to work with investigative measures.
