On November 5, the US presidential election takes place. After candidate Nikki Haley recently chose to end her campaigning for the Republicans, Donald Trump is now the main candidate. Just like the last election, it will therefore be a fight between Joe Biden and Donald Trump.
– It will be an even election and a fantastically exciting election campaign, says Marcus Oscarsson in Nyhetsmorgon.
Right now, Donald Trump is America’s favorite, but that can change quickly. Among other things, Trump has many trial hours during the upcoming campaign, which may affect the outcome.
– Last time there were several states where it was extremely even and that was absolutely decisive for the election night, says Marcus Oscarsson.
Strong election campaign for Biden
Joe Biden has experienced some setbacks as he has been criticized for being too old to be president, among other things. However, Marcus Oscarsson believes that it will be different during the upcoming election campaign.
– I think that Joe Biden will be stronger in the election campaign than many people think right now. That’s how it was last time, then he wasn’t stumbling and stuttering and having problems, he says.
“It could be tough for the Republicans”
It may be that the successes for Biden have already begun. The week he gave the big televised State of the Union speech with 40 to 50 million American viewers. Biden received loud applause when he spoke on the abortion issue. A question that, according to Marcus Oscarsson, can take the Democrats and Joe Biden to electoral victory.
– This is an issue that the Republicans are pushing very hard and have been doing for decades – reducing abortion rights. They don’t have the American people with them, this could be very tough for the Republicans, says the political expert.
