The alarm to the police came just before 4pm on Friday. The pedestrians are said to have been hit by a car in the city center and the extent of the damage is unclear.
The women were checked by an ambulance at the scene.
The driver of the car remains at the scene and has had his license revoked.
Investigative measures are ongoing at the scene.
