Kelly’s financial situation is chaotic, and sometimes she has to forego paying bills to even afford food. It all started with her ex teaching her that you could buy things in installments. After the break-up, Kelly fell into a depression, and has since continued to take out loans without keeping track of the interest rates.

For support, Kelly has her best friend Jennifer, who now feels worried about his friend’s future. It is also Jennifer who has reported her to Lyxfällan. The host Magdalena Kowalczyk therefore goes to Skövde to try to help Kelly.
The first thing Magdalena Kowalczyk notices when she arrives at Kelly’s home is precisely the amount of stuff. There is no shortage of clothes, stuffed animals or car-related items.
– I buy things for my ex’s birthday and for Christmas. If I give things, he will also want to stay with me. Because what do I have to offer?, explains Kelly.

Kelly goes back SEK 42,900 a month: “Darkness”
Kelly struggles with her mental health and has been unwell for many years, which is partly why she does not work full time. This means that she does not bring in enough money to be able to live the way she does.
When Magdalena Kowalczyk presents the budget table, she has calculated that Kelly receives SEK 18,300 every month. The pot that stands out is “other”, where expensive subscriptions and, above all, large amounts of shopping drag the sum up considerably. Kelly spends a lot of money on technology, gadgets, beauty, tattoos and piercings. A total of 11,900 are burned a month under this category.
