Parts of Uknadalen, in northern Västervik municipality, are filled with water. It affects the Tjustbanan – the railway that stretches through the valley – and parts of the rails are completely under the water’s surface.
The traffic has been replaced by buses in the last month. The stations affected are Överum Bruk, Linköping C, Åtvidaberg, Falerum, Gamleby and Västervik.
New evaluations are made every week and the Swedish Transport Administration hopes that the traffic will be able to start on March 16. But if the water has not receded until then, the opening is postponed again.
In the video, you can see what it looks like on the flooded Tjustbanan.
