Key breweries have been hyped by both Nöjesguiden, the artist Peter Alexis and the TV4 profile Steffo Törnquist. The latter liked the company so much that he joined as a partner in 2016.

Key breweries in bankruptcy
But now the story of the Norrland must, beer and soft drink manufacturer is over. Key breweries, which started in 1896 in Luleå, have gone bankrupt, which News24 previously reported on.
The company has shown red numbers for several years, and went back SEK 5.2 million in 2022.
A total of six employees are affected at the brewery, which has had production in Älvsbyn since 2007.

The lawyer Jerker Grammer, at the Kaiding law firm, has been appointed bankruptcy trustee. Gramer has not had time to analyze Nyckelbryggerier yet, but has received an explanation for the bankruptcy from the owners.
– They have told us that the transport costs have become too burdensome, he tells Nyheter24.
Will Keykelbreggerie be saved?
– I have already noticed that there is an interest in continuing the business. So we’ll see what it ultimately leads to, but there are a number of stakeholders,” Gramer said.
Today, there are somewhere between 10,000 and 15,000 liters of Easter must in the brewery, and the hope is that it will be able to make it to the stores by Easter.
– It is an issue we are concentrating on. We have to get the stock out and we don’t have much time. It is an issue that is high on the agenda. It has to be out this week, says Jerker Gramer.
