A 67-year-old man was assaulted in Nieuwegein on Saturday evening around 10 p.m., the police reported today. The victim was walking with his girlfriend’s dog in the Galecop district. Near the Thorbecke Park he came across two men on a scooter. They hit, kicked and robbed the victim. A large amount of cash and an imitation Rolex were stolen.
