Google Drive for iOS now lets you filter searches using drop-down menus for File Type, Owners, and Last Modified, the company wrote on its Workspace Updates blog on Friday. Drop-down menus appear before and after a search, and relevant filter suggestions are displayed as well as users type.
Google Drive Offers New Filter Options
Google says the update is available to Google Workspace customers and individual subscribers, as well as anyone with a personal Google account on iOS. This feature is not yet available for Android users, but Google says it is coming too.
The new filter update makes searching for and browsing files that you don’t know where they are much more enjoyable. For example, if you know you’re looking for a video stored in Drive but have no idea about its name, you can tap the Videos file type, select “custom range” under the last modified file, and search for the period you’re looking for.
