After hours of fighting against the new world boss in WoW Classic, the first players have finally laid and looted him. Or tried to. Because the boss just doesn’t want to let go of an item. It would probably also be far too powerful.
What kind of weapon is that?
This is what makes the sword so special: The Bloodthirst Blade has a passive ability. The effect of the sword says: “Chance to hit: Get the promised soul.” But no one can test what exactly this effect does.
Because the sword requires level 125 to wield. The maximum level in the Season of Discovery is level 40. And anyway, there has never been a higher level than 120 in any World of Warcraft expansion.
So even in retail it would be impossible to carry the blade. In addition, the Bloodthirst Blade has the “Unique (0)” property. So you couldn’t even wear them with the level requirement.
And even here there is another limitation. Because unlike all the other loot from Kha’damu, the blade cannot be looted at all. It can be seen in the loot window, but no one can pick up the weapon (via X). All other loot items can be looted without any problems. Only the boss himself is allowed to wield his sword.
New world boss in WoW Classic employs entire servers
We cannot currently say exactly whether the weapon is intentionally unusable or not. With +333 strength, she would be far too strong for characters at level 40 anyway and could probably oneshot any opponent on her own.
It’s probably simply an Easter egg or something that’s part of a larger mystery. Because just seeing the gun requires a pretty absurd and foolhardy action.
Kha’damu patrols Stranglethorn Valley and is part of the Blood Moon Event, a new PvP event designed to collect bloody coins. The World Boss himself is, fittingly, the Blood Loas’ Chosen One.
However, the fight against him is so tough that sometimes several guilds or even entire servers with hundreds of players have joined forces just to defeat him. Mainly because there was a rumor going around that he can drop the Bengal Tiger. Even game masters helped to figure this out. Someone should say again that there is no customer support: Player wants to prove that there is no customer service in WoW, sets a nasty trap
