Recently, the number of thefts in grocery stores around the country has increased. Although the number of police reports is also increasing, the number of thefts has not stopped.
An Ica store in Asmundtorp has had enough.
In a post on Facebook, an image from a surveillance camera was published. The Ica store writes to the picture that “recently there has been quite a lot of ‘tramp’ in the store during the unmanned time”.

In the post there is a picture of people at what appears to be the last part of an Ica store. One of the people sits behind the till and the others are gathered around an ATM.
The staff at the Ica store in Asmundtorp wrote the following in the post:
“The idea is to be able to offer better “opening hours”, not for people to get into restricted areas and press all the buttons they can find for e.g. the till, scales, gaming machine, etc.
That’s what the shop staff joke about you doing inside Ica
Can put down unmanned times
Unmanned hours have been introduced in the store, something that will have an 18-year-old limit after this event.
“Also want to remind you that it is not okay to log in several times but only one has logged in.
If accompanying persons cannot behave, the person who logged in will automatically be blocked from being able to shop unmanned.”
There have been several thefts in the store, according to the post’s author. All of these have been reported to the police, but if the thefts continue, there is a risk that the ICA store will shut down the unmanned time altogether.
