Cadillac Lyriq, which started mass production in the largest facility of General Motors, is promising with high order numbers in a short time.
We continue to live the days when the world’s most established names marked the firsts on the pages of history, with the electric power transformed into the center of the automotive world. The American giant Cadillac is experiencing one of these important excitements, the most recent example of which we see on the Maserati front via Grecale. Launching the Lyriq as the first electric model in its 120-year history last year, the brand recently announced that the vehicle has started mass production. Mass production started at General Motors’ largest facility located in Tennessee, for the Cadillac Lyriq, whose prototype samples were downloaded from the bands and final tests were carried out in January, before being delivered to the user. With an investment of 2 billion dollars, Lyriq will be an important experience for the factory, where the transformation studies continue to produce electric models, and it makes the brand smile with the interest it has received in a short time.
Cadillac Lyriq technical specifications
Lyriq, which received a record level of pre-orders based in the USA in a short time after its introduction, continues its success in the Far East region. The fact that Lyriq, whose reservations were opened in China last November after America, received 5,000 orders in a short time there, may cause the need to speed up investment studies in GM, as in Ford.

As with other models in the market, Lyriq is offered for sale in different versions shaped by range and power values. The model, the first examples of which descends from the band through the entry-level version of the family, comes with the combination of a battery with a capacity of 100 kWh and a single electric motor as standard in this package. The Lyriq will have 345 PS power, 440 Nm torque and a range of approximately 485 kilometers in this package. At this point, we can say that the vehicle is equivalent to the Mercedes EQC 400 with its range dynamics.
The Lyriq’s fast charging support remains at 190 kW in our notes. As a result of the tests, it will be possible to cover 122 kilometers with a 10-minute filling through such a source. The 30-minute filling allows a range of 314 kilometers to be displayed on the screen. The starting price of the Lyriq, which will be available in dual electric motor and 4×4 dynamic versions in the coming period, has been announced as $59,990. Continuing its efforts to increase its capacity, Cadillac wants to produce 25 thousand units this year if everything goes as planned.
