At 11:22 p.m., the emergency services, paramedics and police were called to Södra station in Örebro, where several people had been hit by a train.
– Three people are very seriously injured and we are searching the entire area to make sure there are no more, says Lars Hedelin, press spokesperson at the police in the Bergslagen region.
An extensive area is cordoned off and the accident will affect train traffic, says Hedelin.
The circumstances surrounding the accident are currently unclear.
– It is not a passenger train, adds Hedelin.
