A rescue effort has been launched after a helicopter sent out a distress signal in Bergen, Norway.
The helicopter then disappeared. A rescue helicopter, which is participating in the operation together with coast guard ships, has found people in the sea outside the city.
Five people have been lifted up and taken to hospital, according to the Norwegian rescue center HRS. The extent of the damage is unclear. Six people are believed to have been on board the helicopter, the sixth will probably be hoisted out of the water shortly, according to HRS.
Haukeland University Hospital in Bergen has been put on standby.
