Stina Nilsson is back in the Biathlon World Cup for the first time since the premiere.
The 30-year-old is now looking forward to a strong end to the season.
– It will be fun to get a chance now, says Nilsson.
The World Cup circus rolls on to Holmenkollen, where the competition weekend begins already on Thursday with the ladies’ 15 kilometers.
Stina’s comeback
Missing in the Swedish squad Hanna Öberg who is sick – but Stina Nilsson is back for the first time since the premiere weekend in Östersund at the end of November 2023.
– It feels very exciting. I have done a lot in the IBU (the level below the World Cup) and have felt that a lot has been true. It feels fun to see how far a race can go here, says Stina Nilsson and continues:

Otherwise have Lynn Persson ended the season after undergoing shoulder surgery and Anna-Karin Heijdenberg is a World Cup debutant.
Three World Cup weekends remain in the season. Elvira Öberg is the best Swede in fifth place in the overall standings – just over a hundred points behind the Norwegian leader Ingrid Landmark Dental violence. Martin Ponsiluoma is the leading Swede on the men’s side with a seventh place.
– I want to reach my capacity, because I know that it is not that far to the top three. I want to get my level out and be able to fight for the victory, says Elvira Öberg.
