Two golds in two different sports, within the space of a month. That’s the conclusion for Elsa Tänglander, who won JVM gold in the biathlon sprint in Otepää.
– There were a few thoughts swirling around, but I managed to put it aside and do my thing, she says in an interview with the association.
A month ago won Elsa Tänglander gold in the sprint in cross-country skiing in the Youth Olympics. Now she has also shown that she can be counted on in biathlon.
“I am very happy,” she says after the victory.
Tänglander went out with starting number five and shot full in the prone, before there was a boom in the standing shot. At the finish, there was then a long wait to see how far the result would go.

All the way, it turned out. Tänglander won with 13 seconds to spare on second place, Voldiya Galmace PaulinFrance, and third Melina GauppGermany.
– Today I mostly wanted revenge on the shooting. I guess I was a little nervous about it. There were a few thoughts that were spinning out on the track, but I managed to forget it and do my thing, says Tänglander.
