Jon Dahl Tomasson takes over as national team captain for Sweden

Jon Dahl Tomasson will be the new national team captain for Sweden, the Swedish Football Association announces.

The Dane Jon Dahl Tomasson will be the new captain for the men’s national football team, the Swedish Football Association announced in a press release.

“I am very much looking forward to starting this great assignment and to meeting supporters, players and of course the media in Sweden. And to think, speak and dream in blue and yellow,” says the 47-year-old Dane to the Swedish Football Association’s website.
