“Streaming is harder than a real job” – xQc disagrees

xQc and HasanAbi are among the most successful streamers on Twitch. Now HasanAbi claimed in a stream that streaming is harder than a real job, which xQc is not satisfied with.

What does the statement mean? In the Twitch scene there are always discussions about how demanding the job of streamer is compared to other jobs. An indirect discussion about this recently developed between the two well-known streamers Félix xQc and Hasan HasanAbi.

Update from February 25th: We have supplemented the article with another contribution from HasanAbi and included the Twitch clip.

“A real job doesn’t suck your soul out of you”

What did HasanAbi say? Political streamer HasanAbi claimed in a stream on Twitch on February 24 that streaming is harder than a real job. He argued that traditional work can be grueling and tiring, but it isn’t as taxing on the soul as streaming.

In particular, he emphasized that streaming for hours would take mental exhaustion to another level. HasanAbi’s statements were captured in a 20-second clip that has gone viral on various platforms, including X.

HasanAbi says the clip was “taken completely out of context”

HasanAbi spoke out on X on February 24 and said the clip was taken out of context. He compared it to his previous job as a salesman. HasanAbi also emphasizes in the article that he can see how lucky he is every day:

It’s wild how this completely out of context clip found its way to Twitter so quickly. I talked about how a 9 hour stream drains my social battery & how I can’t socialize afterward and compared it to my sales job before.

I realize how lucky I am every day!

How did xQc react? The original claims in HasanAbi’s short clip sparked a response from xQc. He replied in a reaction stream on Twitch that HasanAbi should try out a job as a salesman to experience the real difficulties.

xQc expressed that personally, on the whole, he would rather sit on his stupid ass than deal with the day-to-day challenges of real work life.

As examples, he cited the challenges of dealing with difficult customers, clients or bosses. xQc revealed that in some professions you often feel the desire to make bad comments – just that you can’t do it without consequences.

He gave a few examples and then apologized to his chat for his outbursts. He forgot that he was streaming on Twitch.

What does the community say? Not only xQc reacted to HasanAbi’s statement, but also numerous users on X. We have summarized a few comments for you:

  • WorldwideHaven writes: A real job is why people want to stream instead
  • Angelica_Reed1 is of the opinion: It depends on what job you do
  • ReyRob_LS writes: I wonder what counts as real work these days. There are so many ways to make money.

A few years ago, xQc bought a luxury car that he gave to his girlfriend because he didn’t have a driving license. Now he apparently regrets it: Twitch streamer without a driver’s license signs the car over to his girlfriend for €290,000 – she is now selling it
