Philips Hue finally addresses a long-standing and frustrating limitation that particularly affects smart home users. Philips Hue says in a support document on its website that users will soon be able to add multiple Bridges to a single account.
Phillips Hue Bridge supports nearly 50 devices
Each Philips Hue Bridge supports up to 50 devices. While 50 devices may seem like a lot, it’s a limit that more and more users are facing as the Hue ecosystem expands. To make matters worse, Philips Hue also only allowed people to connect one Bridge to their account.
If you’ve reached this 50-device limit and added a second Bridge to your setup, you’ll need to connect that Bridge to a new account. These two Bridges will effectively separate from each other and complicate your smart home setup.
