In the first period between Timrå and Växjö, Timrå’s Sebastian Hartmann suffered a nasty injury.
He was hit by a skate rail over the calf and there was panic on the ice. Both Växjö and Timrå players helped Hartmann to the booth where he was left lying on the ice while he received treatment.
There were barely five minutes left to play in the first period. The first period was stopped early and the players left the ice while Hartmann received continued treatment.
– There are shivers when you see that, it’s hard to see, said TV4’s Staffan Kronwall in the broadcast.
Some Timrå players remained on the ice to support Hartmann, who could later be taken off the ice with the help of a stretcher. Hartmann has been taken to hospital.
– He looked really cut and we were told that he was well taken care of, Anton Wedin told TV4 after two periods played.
Timrå then won the match 2-1.

– Sebastian Hartmann was unfortunately hit in the calf by a skate rail. He is in good spirits under the circumstances and doing well but will have to undergo an operation. His rehabilitation extends beyond what remains of the season, says team doctor, Christian Rydin.
