EZRaider, a state-of-the-art urban and all-terrain electric vehicle

EZRaider a state of the art urban and all terrain electric vehicle

An Israeli company is trying to revolutionize transport with a small, light and very maneuverable vehicle. Intended for urban and off-road operation, the EZRaider looks like the fusion between an electric scooter and a quad.

The electric scooters conquered the urban landscape. However, their small wheels are only suitable for flat surfaces and their autonomy is generally limited to 20 kilometers. They are therefore only suitable for short trips in the city. For other trips, the Israeli firm EZRaider has created a new, much more powerful all-terrain device, inspired by the jet ski, halfway between a scooter and personal vehicle.

The smallest model is the EZRaider LW, described as a vehicle slightly revolutionary. It is, however, much heavier than a conventional scooter, weighing around 95 kg. The device has four large wheels with a proprietary 3D suspension mechanism and is suitable for use in the city as well as on paths or even in the fields.

An alternative to the car?

The manufacturer announces a range of 40 kilometers. The EZRaider LW can carry up to 200 kilograms thanks to its two 1,200 W motors, a speed up to 45 km/h. It can thus carry two people and incorporates a saddle for use seated or standing.

EZRaider also offers two other, more powerful models for personal or professional use, dubbed HD2 and HD4, as well as a special version for the US military. They are compatible with the E-Cart a trailer with a 1,500 W motor on each wheel. The most powerful, the EZRaider HD4, can even cross mud and dunes thanks to four individually motorized wheels (4 x 1,200 W). With an announced price of 7,929 euros excluding taxes, the EZRaider LW could represent a good option to the car.
