On Saturday, the emergency services were alerted that a person had walked through the ice on Lake Nedre Vättern outside Skinnskatteberg. According to SOS Alarm, witnesses should have heard cries for help.
– At 12.33 we received an alarm from a person who saw at least one person in a watch out on the lake, says Anders Svedlund, officer on duty at the Bergslagen rescue region.

The first force on scene found a glove and what is believed to have been the saddle of a quad bike or similar.
Later, a person was found in connection with the wake and cardiopulmonary resuscitation was started.
Man aged 75 dead
On Saturday afternoon, the police confirm to TV4 Nyheterna that a man is dead.
– A four-wheeler was driving on the ice, which in one way or another was not up to it. The person in question is 75 years old, says Per Bjurström, press spokesperson at the police.
Relatives have been notified.
