Hercules destroyed IJsselmeervogels in the p/d play-offs last season. In Utrecht it was 6-0, at the Westmaat 0-5. IJsselmeervogels was therefore relegated, but Hercules did not manage to promote. This season the proportions are different. The first meeting between the two clubs, in Utrecht, remained without goals. The Vogels are third in the competition, 9 points ahead of number 9 Hercules. In the battle for the title, IJsselmeervogels cannot afford to lose points, so for the first time in an official match they will have to score against Hercules. However, that team has the least passed defense in the third division A.
