An undetonated bomb from the Second World War was found on Tuesday in Plymouth on the English south coast and was moved during Friday to be defused at sea.

More than 3,000 residents in the immediate area were evacuated from their homes – the largest evacuation in the country since World War II. People living along the final journey of the bomb were also asked to leave their homes during the approximately 20-minute transport.

The entire effort is said to have gone well and the 500 kilo bomb will be detonated in the English Channel on Saturday.
