Helldivers 2 is preparing for the weekend and is now letting more players onto the servers, but the developers are still expecting problems.
What is the situation with the servers?
How much has server capacity been increased? For next weekend, Arrowhead has increased the cap from 450,000 to 700,000 players. This was announced by Arrowhead CEO Johan Pilestedt on X.com (formerly Twitter)
By increasing the registration limit, the developers want to make waiting times more pleasant.
Developers expect problems this weekend
Why are problems expected? As Pilestedt writes on X.com, the development studio expects that the new registration limit of 700,000 players could be reached this weekend. In this case, players would have to wait in line again.
Last weekend, Helldivers 2 reached a new high on Steam with over 333,000 active players, which was beaten almost daily over the course of the week. It is therefore likely that the number of players will continue to rise at the weekend – especially since they are no longer set at a maximum of 450,000.
