Jonna Sundling did the forbidden to Jessie Diggins.

– I get irritated, Sundling now admits in “Vinterpasset”.
The ski weekend offered the big revenge for Jonna Sundling. After having her season hampered by illness, she was able to really show her full talent on the ski slopes again.

Sundling approached the American rival Jessie Diggins and broke an unwritten rule in the skiing world. No one is allowed to touch Diggins when she is lying down catching her breath after a race.
Cold in shock

Diggins previously wrote in a high-profile 2018 blog post that no one is allowed to touch her for the first 30 seconds after a race. But not even Charlotte Kallawho met the American many times, knew about this and is shocked by what happened.

Jonna Sundling also admits that there were many in the Swedish national ski team who had no idea about this.
– I didn’t know about it either. I was kind of annoyed; Why did I even get asked that question? she says in the podcast and she can understand Diggins’ wishes.
– That’s how I really feel when you can’t move and are completely exhausted. She had apparently written it down somewhere. I haven’t been to many distance races… Surely no one else knew either? I thought I’d say congratulations, because that’s pretty cool, right? I had also thought it was nice to take my skis off.
