Yesterday, an elderly woman was found dead in a home in Skellefteå. A man in his 50s was arrested at the hospital in Skellefteå, where he was being treated.
The man has now been arrested on probable cause on suspicion of murder.
– We interrogated him during the night. I don’t want to go into how he reacts to the accusations, says Petra Hedberg.
The man is to be heard further with defenders. Persons who may have made observations must also be heard.
The home is seen as a crime scene
The prosecutor does not want to go into details about the relationship between the man and the woman.
– We regard the home as a crime scene. We have secured the track and seized it in there, says the prosecutor.
A forensic examination must be done on the body. The prosecutor does not want to speculate on what the cause of death might be.
The man must be remanded in custody before February 25, but it will probably happen on Friday.
