A Sarnia constable faces charges after an alleged off-duty incident, city police say.
Officers responded to an incident at a private residence Sunday, police said in a release Monday.

Const. Tim VanCowenberg is charged with assault, forcible confinement, and mischief, police said.
Police Chief Derek Davis has ordered an internal investigation under the Police Services Act, police said.
VanCowenberg has been reassigned to non-operational duties, police said.
