Drug worth millions gives four years

Last year, the police found 4,500 narcotic Oxycontin tablets in the trunk of a car in the municipality of Karlshamn.

The crackdown was part of a drug bust that was sorted out, and the tablets are estimated to be worth SEK 2.2 million at the user level. Now the man in his 30s who owned the car has been sentenced to four years in prison for serious drug offences, Sydöstran writes.

One more man has so far received his sentence in the tangle. Another seven are in custody. Charges are expected shortly for them.
