A man was charged after fire displaced several tenants of a Wheatley apartment building early Saturday, Chatham-Kent police say.
Emergency crews were called to the Erie Street North building at 1:40 am, police said.

Firefighters doused the fire and contained it to one unit, but smoke spread to several second-floor units, forcing residents out, police said. No one was hurt.
Investigation determined the fire was intentionally set, police said. A suspect was arrested.
A man is charged with arson, police said. He was held pending a bail hearing.
Displaced residents have been put up in local hotels with help from Chatham-Kent Victim Services and the Red Cross, police said.
