Following an invitation from Prime Minister Viktor Orbán, a date has now been set for the Prime Minister’s visit to Hungary.
On February 23, Kristersson will visit Hungary. The government confirms this in a press release on Tuesday.
The meeting’s agenda will deal with security and defense policy cooperation between Hungary and Sweden, preparations for Hungary’s upcoming EU presidency and the EU’s strategic agenda, the government writes on its website.
After the meeting, Hungarian Prime Minister Orbán and Prime Minister Kristersson will hold a joint press conference.
In January, Orbán invited Ulf Kristersson to Budapest. But then questions arose about what he meant. There has been speculation that Hungary wanted new negotiations to finally admit Sweden into NATO.
