At 21:00 on Monday evening, the police try to stop a car for inspection in Ljungbyholm in Kalmar municipality.
According to the patrol, the driver refuses to stop and drove away, after which the police followed. Shortly after this, the passenger car overturned and landed on the roof.
– It must have happened on a forest road, outside a densely built-up area, says Rickard Lundqvist.
Three to hospital
Two men and a woman, all aged 25, were in the vehicle that overturned. All are taken to hospital by ambulance.
According to the police, the driver is currently suspected of serious drunken driving and illegal driving.
– As soon as possible, we will hold interviews with those involved, says Rickard Lundqvist.
