Appearing on video from the Sarnia Jail Thursday, St. Louis told a justice of the peace he hasn’t hired a lawyer yet. The case was adjourned to next week.

The charges haven’t been tested in court.

In March 2021, the OPP asked the public’s help finding St. Louis, then a 47-year-old federal offender, who was wanted for breaching his statutory release. He was serving a sentence of two years, seven months and 15 days for theft worth more than $5,000, escaping lawful custody, drug possession, disqualified driving, flight from police, dangerous driving, failing to stop at a collision, and obstructing police, they said at the time.
