Donald Trump is sentenced to pay billions in fines.

Now he is furious.

“WALTZ BOTAGE. WITCH HUNT”, he writes on his own platform Truth Social.

Friday’s verdict in New York was a heavy blow to ex-president Trump.

He is sentenced to pay 355 million dollars – the equivalent of 3.8 billion Swedish kronor – in fines and is banned from business in his hometown for three years.

It’s all about Trump and his family business, according to the law, exaggerating the value of their assets. This is to secure favorable loans and insurance premiums.

Even Trump’s grown sons, Donald Jr. and Eric, must pay $4 million and receive a two-year food ban.

“Only satisfied banks”

On his own platform Truth Social, Donald Trump comments on the decision.

“This decision is a complete and total SCAM. There are no casualties, no injuries, no complaints. Only satisfied banks and insurance companies (who made a lot of money”.

Trump writes that the billion fine was not based on anything other than having “built a large company”.

He calls Judge Arthur Engoron a “scoundrel” and he accuses New York’s Attorney General Letitia James of being corrupt.

The amount of the fine is seen as significant even for a billionaire like Trump, whose fortune is estimated at $2.6 billion according to Forbes.

Trump says he will appeal today’s decision.
