Have you bought turkey recently? Pay attention ! Many batches are being recalled because they are believed to cause listeriosis. Explanations.
These alerts were launched on February 8 by the Rappel Conso site. If these products are recalled, it is because analyzes detected the presence of Listeria bacteria. Learn about the symptoms of listeriosis and see if you have one of the recalled lots. All of these bundles have expired DLC dates but you might still have them in a freezer.
What products are affected?
If these turkeys are currently recalled, it is because a microbiological control revealed the presence of Listeria monocytogenes in this product. This bacteria could cause listeriosis, a serious infection. Found in the meat section of distributors, the recalled batches of turkeys have the following references.

Listeria: what are the risks of this bacteria?
The Consumer Reminder site therefore invites consumers to “who have consumed the products mentioned above and who present with fever, isolated or accompanied by headache, and body aches, to consult their doctor and report this consumption“.
Moreover,”serious forms with neurological complications and maternal or fetal damage in pregnant women can also sometimes occur“, specifies the site.
Fragile individuals (pregnant women, immunocompromised people and the elderly) must therefore be particularly attentive to these symptoms. Listeriosis is a disease that can be serious and has an incubation period of up to eight weeks.
Therefore, it is recommended to no longer consume these batches of turkeys. You can destroy them or return them to the point of sale in order to benefit from a refund until the end date of the recall procedure: February 23, 2024. A contact number has been set up: 02 33 30 34 00.
