This week there have been new alarms about the suffering in Gaza. According to the United Nations children’s fund Unicef, one in ten children is malnourished and the Ministry of Health in Gaza states that over 10,000 children have died.
One of them is six-year-old Hind Rajab, who has become a symbol of victims in Gaza since her last alarm call went viral.
Biden: The operation in Gaza has crossed the line
Since the Hamas terrorist attack on October 7, around thirty Israelis are still being held hostage by Hamas. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has continued to insist that Israel will continue its offensive until the country achieves “total victory” in response.
But criticism of the Israeli response has begun to grow internationally – including from the United States, which is closely allied with Israel.
– I am of the opinion, as you know, that the effort in the Gaza Strip has crossed the line, says US President Joe Biden.

When Billström visits SVT, he also states that he feels “strong concern” about the growing humanitarian crisis in Gaza.
– This is dangerous for the population that is there, says Billström.
In Wednesday’s declaration, which Billström presented in the Riksdag on February 14, he writes:
“In light of the catastrophic situation in Gaza, the government believes that a ceasefire is necessary for humanitarian reasons.”
But when he are pressed for answers about whether Israel has gone too far the debate suddenly gets stuck.
