Lena Hallengren is taking a break from work in the Riksdag, she writes on social media.
“From Monday and for a few weeks to come, I will be away from the work of the Riksdag. Three years ago I fell ill with breast cancer and had surgery to remove one breast, now I have been given an operation time to do a reconstruction,” writes Hallengren.
Lena Hallengren is group leader for the Social Democrats in the Riksdag. Deputy group leader Johan Löfstrand will lead that work in her absence.
Hallengren will be on sick leave for a few weeks. She writes that she will need time to heal but that she is otherwise fine.
