Swedish collapse in shooting – Mona Brorson best Swede in the WC race

It didn’t go well for the Öberg sisters in the distance competition at the Biathlon World Cup.

Hanna Öberg, reigning world champion at the distance, had three bars after the first two shooting series. Then it was not enough to shoot flawlessly in the final two series to be able to threaten a podium place.

Elvira Öberg also had problems with shooting. With a total of four hurdles, she was nowhere near a podium place.

Mona Brorsson and Linn Persson fared better in shooting. Both put 19 out of 20 shots – but neither was enough to be close to a medal place.

The fifth Swede, Anna Magnusson, also had a tough day on the shooting range and was far behind.

The competition in Nove Mesto, Czech Republic, is ongoing. But it is already clear that Mona Brorsson will be the best Swede.
