A 35-year-old man has been taken to hospital by ambulance after jumping from a burning apartment in Malmö, the police say. According to local media, he jumped from the fourth floor.
It was at nine o’clock that the police and emergency services were alerted that a person had tried to escape the flames by jumping from the apartment. The injured man was then found at the scene.
The fire has been extinguished and the emergency services have searched the apartment.
– There should not have been any additional people in the apartment, says police spokesperson Rickard Lundqvist.
The police have drawn up a report of arson.
