Kristine Stavå’s Skistad defeated the Swedish rivals.
And sent a very cocky taunt to his competitors.
– It came in the heat of the moment, the Norwegian admits to Viaplay.
It has really flared up into a great rivalry in cross-country skiing. The relationship between Lynn Svahn and archrival Norway Kristine Stavå’s Ski City has now got a new chapter after this weekend’s new duel during the sprint in Canadian Canmore.
Svahn’s Wrath
Once again there was a Swedish double on the podium when Maja Dahlqvist came second and Svahn third on Saturday night. But after four straight sprint victories by Linn, Stavås Skistad managed to defeat both Swedes and be first across the finish line.
– Very nice to defeat the Swedes, says the winner in Viaplay.

After the huge fight during the Tour de Ski in which the Norwegian was involved Emma Riboms case and then the subsequent mockery in social media, Svahn was furious with the rival. Now Stavås Skistad has stirred emotions again.
Skistad’s mockery
Because after the finish in the sprint final, she sent a very clear and cocky pass to the Swedes behind her. The Norwegian sprint specialist has posted a picture on Instagram where you can clearly see how she sends a scornful back kiss to Linn Svahn, see the picture below.
– I thought it was nice. It came in the heat of the moment, says Skistad to the TV channel about his gesture.

It must have really annoyed the winner Svahn and Dahlqvist sends a pass back to the Norwegian.
– She may have been waiting for it for a while, says Maja after the race.

Maja Dahlqvist’s second place in the sprint was her second straight in a sprint context in the World Cup. A very nice revenge for the Swede who has had a hard time so far this season.
