The 27-year-old forward – who in January signed an eight-year contract extension worth approximately SEK 940 million – is fighting with Vancouver’s Elias Pettersson about becoming the best Swedish player in the points league.
Pettersson has reached his 65 points via 27 goals and 38 assists in 50 games played. Nylander is 25-40 in 49 games.
Both get to play a lot, both numerically superior and inferior.
– I like having been given a bigger role and now expulsions also kill. I just try to do my best there too, says William Nylander.
