(Finance) – Ermenegildo Zegnaan Italian group listed on Wall Street and active in the men’s luxury clothing sector, announced theopening by 2026 of a new production center of excellence for luxury footwear and leather goods in Sala Baganza (Parma). The project was born from the desire to further expand its production capacity and to strengthen and enhance Italian craftsmanship, we read in a note.

“We decided to focus on the Parma area, which we have known for many years given our long artisan tradition in the region, because it represents a ideal territory for the development of this project,” he added.
The hub will also serve as important research and development center, strengthening the Group’s capacity in “tailor-made” production, thus meeting the growing requests from customers for customization. The new facility is expected to be completed by December 2026 and, at full capacity, in 2027, will employ over 300 people.
In agreement with local institutions, the new production center will be built in pre-hill territory of the northern Emilian Apennines and will develop over a total area of approximately 12,500 square meters on 10 hectares of land just over 10 km from the center of Parma.
