Varhelyi, Member of the European Union (EU) Commission Responsible for Neighborhood and Enlargement, made a statement on his social media account.
Varhelyi stated:
“I strongly condemn the terrorist attack that took place today in front of the Istanbul Çağlayan courthouse. The European Union stands by Turkey in the fight against terrorism. I wish a speedy recovery to the injured.”
