Al-Anon, a support group for loved ones of alcoholics

” A bottle in the sea“, this is the name of the campaign launched by the Al-Anon association which offers help to families of people with a problem with alcohol, according to the adage, ” one person drinks and the whole family toasts “. She organizes meetings which allow loved ones to talk and help each other. These support groups were born in the United States in 1951, at the initiative of the wives of the founders of Alcoholics Anonymous (AA). The Al-Anon association, created in France in 1962, currently has 135 groups throughout the country.
