Apex Legends’ 5th anniversary update, completely renews the gaming experience by offering players new systems, enhanced graphics and exciting modes. With this update, new systems come that will make the game easier to understand and innovations such as making the kills you get more meaningful.
Apex Legends Year 5 Update: Innovative Combat Mechanics and Improvements
The update will prioritize matches focusing on territory control and will be published on Xbox and PS5 consoles with 120 Hz support for the first time. It will offer players a superior experience by using features of the consoles such as haptic feedback. Additionally, items can be enhanced up to four times, giving players the opportunity to try hundreds of different combinations. By increasing your armor level with new armor updates and the Evo system, you will be able to increase your Evo and therefore your defense power with various items found in the environment.
Armor System Innovation in Apex Legends
The most notable innovation in Apex Legends is the update to the players’ armor system. The old armor system has now been completely removed and the player’s armor level is determined depending on the Legend Level they are in the match. With this change, you can make the assumption that all players will have similar armor levels as the match progresses. This means that random drops in the game are no longer a factor in determining a player’s power level.
In-Game Innovations and Interactivity
While features such as shield cores and wall bounce increase the importance of your armor and mobility, the new map will be a first in Apex Legends history with tournaments in front of a live audience to be held in Thunderdome and Stormpoint. Apex Episodes will further deepen the in-game story with innovations such as the in-game lore center and Apex museum and offer players rich content through interactive kiosks, fan art and easter eggs. Ranked Matches and ALGS Updates
While major changes have been made to ranked matches, the scoring system has been adjusted to allow beginners to progress more easily.
