One of the most popular Arnold Schwarzenegger classics is the fantasy action blockbuster Conan the Barbarian. In addition to the sequel Conan the Destroyer, a new film was released in 2011 starring Aquaman star Jason Momoa. Just like the two Schwarzenegger parts, the new edition by Marcus Nispel is based on the Conan short stories and other works by Robert E. Howard.

With a budget of $90 million, Nispel’s film could, according to Box Office Mojo worldwide just $63 million play in. This means that the 2011 Conan is considered a flop.

As if that wasn’t enough, Jason Momoa himself spoke again in 2022 about how much he would hate the blockbuster:
I’ve been involved in a lot of things that were really bad and films where it’s out of your hands. Conan [der Barbar] was one of them. It’s one of the best experiences I’ve had and it [wurde] taken over and into one big pile of shit transformed.When will the new Conan be on TV?
