A huge amusement park, including five universes including that of the Harry Potter saga, is under construction. The immersion promises to be total, between the larger-than-life settings and the stunning attractions. In pictures, this is what it will look like.
If you thought you had already seen it all in terms of amusement parks, this new project which is due to open in 2025 in the United States will prove you wrong. Theme park fans undoubtedly know the legendary Universal Orlando Resort in Florida. An American leisure complex that immerses you directly into the world and action of your favorite films and series, such as Jurassic Park, transformers. The Simpsonsor Men in Black. With the idea of renewing itself, compared to other parks in the country, the Universal Studios company has imagined a brand new large-scale park within Universal Orlando Resort. It is presented as the most ambitious and innovative of the group and has been called Epic Universe.
The project as it was conceived is staggering. In total, five thematic universes, linked together by portals, will push the limits of the imagination through decorations and activities. One of the first zones, which may delight fans of the saga Harry Potteris the one which will be dedicated to the Ministry of Magic (“The Wizarding World of Harry Potter – Ministry of Magic) which we find in the world of the famous wizard. There will also be a “Super Nintendo World” universe, much more colorful and interactive than the Nintendo parks in Osaka and Los Angeles. The other zones will be on the theme of animated films Dragons with a recreation of the Isle of Berk (“How to Train your Dragon – Isle of Berk”), from the horror film series Dark Universe with the presence of the frightening Frankenstein and Dracula among others. The fifth theme, which will be in the center of the Epic Universe park, will be the “Celestial Park”. A green area with food outlets, shops and three major attractions.
Each world will be totally immersive and will be aimed at children, adventurers and adults alike. In terms of attractions, visitors will be able to get their fill of sensations with more than 50 rides and shows. For example, you can try the double-launch “Starfall Racers” roller coaster that will propel you through the cosmos. In terms of accommodation, you will also have a wide choice thanks to the Helios Grand Hotel, the Stella Nova Resort and the Terra Luna Resort.
This new extension of the Universal Orlando Resort park was designed in 2019, before being put on hold due to the Covid-19 pandemic. Work resumed in 2021 and the upcoming opening of the Epic Universe park in 2025 risks being truly epic!
