Something detonated at a hair salon in Vinsta in western Stockholm on Friday evening. No one was injured in the explosion.
– It is about material damage, says police spokesperson Anna Westberg.
The police were alerted by several people about a loud bang shortly before midnight.
The incident is being investigated as public vandalism and the police have been working at the scene during the night with technicians and searched the area with the help of dogs and knocked on doors to gather information.
– The cordons have been lifted, there is still no one deprived of liberty, says Westberg just before 06 on Saturday morning.
– We continue to work with the information we have collected.
Are there links to gang crime?
– We are investigating all the information we have, but it is too early to say at the moment. But it’s not entirely unreasonable.
